Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace Launches in India

January 21, 2016

Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has announced that it is opening offices in India, enabling greater participation in Asia-Pacific’s rapidly-developing market.

Darktrace’s award-winning technology, powered by mathematics and machine learning developed at the University of Cambridge, detects subtle changes in behaviour within computer networks. Unlike traditional approaches, Darktrace’s ‘immune system’ monitors network traffic in real time, without requiring prior knowledge or rules, allowing companies to spot the early indicators of external and insider threats, before a crisis occurs.

Darktrace’s expansion into India comes at a prime time for global investment in the country, coinciding with Arun Jaitley, India’s Finance Minister’s recent official visit to the UK, where he is promoting the country’s thriving market to foreign investors.

With over 200 employees – a headcount that has tripled in the past year – and 18 global offices from Auckland to Washington D.C., Darktrace is expanding internationally at an exponential rate. Darktrace has already experienced strong demand and has deployed its self-learning technology to 10 organizations across a number of industries including finance, pharmaceutical and manufacturing.

“As a pioneering British technology company, we are very excited to be developing our business in a booming Indian market,” said Sanjay Aurora, Managing Director of Darktrace APAC. “Cyber security is critical for India to continue its sustained economic growth. Darktrace’s ‘immune system’ is well-positioned to help companies understand and defend their digital environments, thanks to its unique, self-learning approach.”
