Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace Named a Customers’ Choice in Gartner Peer Insights™ Voice of the Customer for Network Detection and Response

June 26, 2023
  • 95% of customers willing to recommend Darktrace1

Darktrace, a global leader in cyber security AI, today announces it has been named as a Customers’ Choice in the 2023 Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer for Network Detection and Response. The report provides real-world feedback from customers on their experiences with products that use behavioral analytics to detect and contain breaches like insider threats, ransomware and lateral movements.

The Customers’ Choice distinction recognizes vendors with above average ratings in both of the report’s scoring categories: Overall Experience and User Interest & Adoption.

Darktrace had the most reviews submitted from customers among all the vendors mentioned in the report. These customers gave Darktrace’s DETECT™ and RESPOND™ capabilities an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars, with 95% of respondents saying they would recommend Darktrace to others. 73% of the respondents gave Darktrace a 5-star rating.

We believe this distinction reinforces the impact Darktrace’s market leading technology can have for enterprise security teams. While most of the security industry trains on attacker behavior, Darktrace’s self-learning AI builds an evolving understanding of behaviors of people and devices from real-time data flows for each of its customers. This supports use cases including identifying novel attacks like those that use Generative AI for phishing or social engineering attacks, insider threats, nation-state attacks and human errors such as misconfigurations. Darktrace DETECT spotlights meaningful unusual behavior, Darktrace Cyber AI Analyst autonomously investigates the activity, and Darktrace RESPOND takes a proportionate action to mitigate the threat.

“As a small cyber security team operating in a high-stakes sector, my team and I found ourselves increasingly struggling to keep up with– and prioritize– the alerts generated from our previous security stack,” said Robert Spangler, Associate Executive Director, Operations and Information Technology at New Jersey State Bar Association. “As soon as we got Darktrace, it reduced the noise and false positives we had been struggling with, and as the AI learned more about our organization, our alert volume continued to decrease.”

“Darktrace does not care whether the traffic is general network, an application, a log file, a document, from the cloud, or from the endpoint. It treats it all the same and passes it through the same rigorous data models regardless,” said Rich Raymont, ICT Manager at Dreamworld. “Darktrace is an amazing tool for logging everything on the network, all the data.”
