Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace Wins UK Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award

November 17, 2016

Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has today announced that it won the ‘UK Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award’ at the UK IT Industry Awards in London last night.

The UK IT Industry Awards recognize the contribution of organisations that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of technology in the past 12 months, and are judged by Computing, and BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT. Darktrace detects threats that go unnoticed by legacy security tools, and has detected over 18,000 serious in-progress cyber incidents to date, and has been deployed over 1,500 times worldwide.

Powered by advanced mathematics and unsupervised machine learning developed by specialists from the University of Cambridge, Darktrace works by learning the ‘pattern of life’ for each user and device on a network. Using this understanding of what is ‘normal’ for an organisation, the Enterprise Immune System can detect and respond automatically to emerging threats inside the network.

“It is an honour to be recognized for the fundamental innovation of our machine learning approach,” said Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. “More and more companies are adopting Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System as the only technology that defends networks from the evolving threat landscape.”
