Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace Named ‘Innovative Company of the Year’

September 19, 2017

Darktrace, the world leader in AI technology for cyber defense, has today announced that it won an impressive four awards at the ninth annual Golden Bridge Awards® held in San Francisco last night. Darktrace was named ‘Innovative Company of the Year’, and also received accolades for ‘Company Growth of the Year’, ‘Cloud Security Innovation’, and ‘Best Canadian Deployment’.

The Golden Bridge Awards® recognize companies for their achievements, innovations, and positive contributions. A judging panel comprised of respected peer companies selected Darktrace thanks to its innovative approach to cyber defense, unprecedented growth, and disruptive technology.

Powered by AI and machine learning, the Enterprise Immune System is capable of detecting and autonomously responding to sophisticated, stealthy, and fast-spreading threats in real time. By learning and continuously updating its understanding of what constitutes ‘normal’ for every device and user on a network, the technology detects threatening anomalies as they emerge. The Enterprise Immune System has detected more than 48,000 serious in-progress threats across 3,000 deployments. In addition to defending the corporate network, the technology is capable of protecting cloud systems, virtual environments, IoT devices, and industrial control systems.

Darktrace’s continued recognition speaks to the power of our innovative technology, and the unprecedented growth and success we’ve seen in just four years,” commented Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. “Cyber-attackers are becoming increasingly advanced, designing automated and novel attacks, and exploiting network blind spots, like cloud, IoT, and ICS. Darktrace helps companies across over 70 countries, including Canadian energy provider Energy+, to protect their networks from these sophisticated threats. The Enterprise Immune System has repeatedly proven it is able to detect and fight back against threats missed by other security tools.”
