Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace Wins ‘Best AI Product in Security’ and ‘Outstanding Innovations in AI: Security’ CogX Awards

June 12, 2018

Darktrace, the world’s leading AI company for cyber defence, has today announced winning ‘Best AI Product in Security’ and ‘Outstanding Innovations in AI: Security’, at the CogX Awards 2018 in London last night.

Judged by an esteemed panel of judges, these prestigious awards celebrate the best in AI around the world. Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System has ushered in a new era for AI cyber defence by detecting and autonomously fighting back against sophisticated cyber-threats in real time. Deployed over 5,000 times, Darktrace’s AI technology defends some of the most complex environments around the world, including cloud and virtualized networks, IoT, and critical national infrastructure.

These awards are fantastic recognition of Darktrace’s cyber AI technology,” said Poppy Gustafsson, Co-CEO, Darktrace. ‘Our research never stops and we constantly move the goalposts of what is possible to achieve with innovation in AI. As security teams are consistently outpaced in their capacity to stay ahead of today’s stealthy cyber-attacks, Darktrace arms defenders with powerful AI that can catch and autonomously thwart in-progress attacks. This will free up the humans to focus on the strategic risks, and is the only hope for defending ever more complex organisations in a skills-shortage economy.”
